We tend to start with one question: how many people are coming? That tells us whether a smaller, sociable limousine or a full-size Hummer will suit your plans. Then we can talk about the birthday, the destination and the sort of atmosphere you want.

Gen 2 Baby Bentley – up to 8 passengers

Eight friends heading to dinner? A small family celebration? A surprise for someone who would never dream of booking a limousine for themselves? Our Gen 2 Baby Bentley is a natural fit.

With everyone travelling together, there's time to chat, listen to music where the vehicle's facilities allow, take photographs before setting off and arrive at the venue as one group. It works particularly well for a birthday cruise finishing at a restaurant or an agreed celebration venue.

Best for: smaller friendship groups, 18th and 21st birthdays, milestone birthdays and family outings.

White Hummer H2 – up to 16 passengers

The Hummer is difficult to miss. That's often exactly the point.

For a larger group, it means you don't have to split the birthday party between several cars or ask everyone to find their own way to the venue. Friends, cousins, brothers, sisters and sometimes several generations can enjoy the journey together.

Because it's a substantial vehicle, we pay particular attention to access, turning space, safe stopping and the time needed to reach busy destinations. A restaurant that is easy to approach in a Rolls-Royce isn't necessarily straightforward in a 16-seat limousine.

Best for: big birthday groups, family gatherings and a proper group entrance.

Passenger numbers are maximum stated capacities and must be confirmed for your chosen vehicle and passenger mix. Please tell us in advance if children will be travelling so appropriate seating and legal restraint arrangements can be discussed.

What sort of birthday evening have you planned?

There isn't one correct way to book a birthday limousine. Some people want the journey to be the main event. Others want a memorable arrival at dinner, with a completely separate plan for getting home. We'll help you work out which makes sense.

The birthday cruise

A one-hour cruise can be a lovely birthday treat, particularly if the group is already together. We agree the pickup, take a suitable route and finish at a restaurant, bar, home or another prearranged destination.

It works best when the route is realistic. An hour disappears quickly if there are several collections, a long journey into Central London or a busy restaurant entrance to negotiate.

The big restaurant arrival

Imagine the whole group stepping out together for a birthday dinner. It makes a terrific first impression — but the practical side matters too.

We discuss where the limousine can approach, whether there is a lawful place to stop, and how long the journey may take. Mayfair, the West End and streets around Berkeley Square can be particularly busy, with roadworks and access changes. We would rather plan carefully than promise an impossible kerbside arrival.

The return journey

If everyone wants to be collected later, we can discuss a return booking. The important part is agreeing the finish time and pickup location in advance, especially when restaurants or venues have restricted stopping areas.

For some birthdays, a one-way limousine arrival is all that's needed. For others, the return is part of the plan. We'll quote according to the actual itinerary rather than pretending every evening is the same.

Eight or sixteen people take a little more organising than two

We have arranged plenty of birthday journeys, and it's often the details that make the difference. A group may be travelling from several homes. Someone may be running late. The organiser might want to keep the limousine a secret. Or the restaurant may be in a street where a long vehicle cannot simply pull up and wait.

The birthday touches that make it yours

Some groups want a lively celebration. Others prefer something more understated. We can discuss suitable ribbons, balloons and birthday decorations in advance, rather than turning up with something the birthday guest wouldn't have chosen.

For an extra personal touch, we may also be able to arrange personalised banners, chocolates or flowers for an additional fee, subject to notice and availability. Tell us the birthday person's name, age if you'd like it included, and any colour preferences.

And if it's a secret, tell us that too. We can discuss a discreet nearby waiting point and an agreed signal before the chauffeur approaches the house, where practical and lawful.

From an 18th to a 60th — every group celebrates differently

An 18th or 21st birthday might involve a group of friends heading to dinner or an event. A 30th or 40th might be an evening that starts at home with photographs before the group travels together. A 50th or 60th can be just as lively — or it may be a family occasion with several generations on board.

We don't assume that everyone celebrating the same age wants the same experience. What matters is the number of passengers, where you're going and how you'd like the journey to feel.

Restaurants, photographs and the right place to stop

Over the years we've taken birthday groups to venues across London and beyond, including well-known Mayfair restaurants and local favourites around South London and Kent. We know that the arrival is often part of the occasion — and that a long limousine needs more consideration than an ordinary car.

We can discuss the likely approach, suitable stopping arrangements and whether photographs are practical. For busy destinations such as the West End, we will always take current road conditions and restrictions into account. A photograph outside a venue is a lovely bonus, but we won't promise parking or a stop where it isn't permitted.
