Three-hour tour – make an evening of it
Our three-hour experience is our recommended choice for guests who want to enjoy more of London's Christmas atmosphere. There is time for a wider selection of illuminated streets, favourite music and potentially a photograph stop or short walk where suitable arrangements are available.
For some guests, the pleasure is simply sitting back in a Rolls-Royce and admiring the sights. Others prefer the lively atmosphere of a limousine filled with family or friends. A longer booking offers more flexibility and a more relaxed experience.

Regent Street is one of our absolute highlights. The giant illuminated angels create a breathtaking canopy above the road. Looking up through the windows of a Rolls-Royce or limousine as they stretch into the distance is a wonderful Christmas moment.
New Bond Street – spectacular designer displays
New Bond Street is a Christmas spectacle in its own right. Luxury houses such as Dior, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren create imaginative, extravagant seasonal window displays and illuminated shopfronts, seemingly trying to outdo one another. It is particularly special to enjoy this elegant Mayfair street from a Rolls-Royce. We may choose New Bond Street instead of another busy shopping-street route when traffic makes that the better experience.
Knightsbridge and Harrods – an illuminated landmark
We usually aim to pass through Knightsbridge, where the glowing façade of Harrods makes a magical sight after dark. The famous building, beautifully lit for Christmas, brings a little extra glamour to the evening.
Park Lane – grand hotels and Winter Wonderland
A drive along Park Lane reveals the splendid decorations of its grand hotels. On the Hyde Park side, the colourful lights and excitement of Winter Wonderland create another memorable spectacle, especially for children.
Oxford Street – sparkling lights, when traffic allows
Oxford Street is a classic London Christmas sight, with festive illuminations, decorated shops and the bustle of the season. We include it when traffic and vehicle restrictions permit rather than promising a particular drive-through route.
Carnaby Street – time for a festive stroll
Carnaby Street is pedestrianised, so we cannot drive through its decorations. Where lawful nearby parking or stopping arrangements are possible, guests on a longer tour may have the chance to stretch their legs, admire the creative displays, take photographs and use nearby toilet facilities.
Trafalgar Square – a traditional London Christmas
We usually aim to make a circuit around Trafalgar Square. The Christmas tree, National Gallery and surrounding buildings give this part of the tour a traditional London atmosphere and a wonderful contrast to the glittering shopping streets.
The London Eye – a favourite photograph stop
We aim to include a suitable stop near the London Eye where safe and lawful arrangements permit. It is a lovely backdrop for a family picture, a group photograph beside the limousine or a romantic Rolls-Royce memory. Your chauffeur will be happy to help take photographs when practical.
When is the best time for a London Christmas Lights Tour?
Choosing the right evening can make a tremendous difference. From our experience, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are generally the best choices, particularly for guests hoping to avoid some of the heavier Christmas traffic.
Friday evenings and weekends can be exceptionally busy as shoppers, tourists and festive celebrations fill Central London.
We usually recommend enjoying the lights from around 7.30 pm onwards, when some of the earlier traffic has eased and the decorations look especially beautiful against the night sky.
For customers being collected from home, a 6.30 pm pickup can be a sensible option, depending on the distance to Central London. Weekend bookings are possible, but we recommend allowing for heavier traffic and understanding that the route may need to change.
For a more relaxed evening with opportunities for photographs, our three-hour tour is generally the better choice.

For shorter bookings, Central London collection generally provides more time among the illuminations. For longer tours, home collection may be practical depending on the address and hire period.

Christmas is one of London's busiest times of year. Traffic, seasonal events, road restrictions and vehicle size all affect the route. Larger limousines may need to use different streets from a Rolls-Royce.
