Arundel Prom Car Hire – Rolls-Royce, Limousines, Supercars & Local Prom Guide

There is nothing quite like prom night around Arundel. From a family gathering for photographs to a grand red-carpet arrival, the journey is part of the celebration. We have brought students to Fontwell Park for more than a decade and regularly visit Avisford Park Hotel. This guide shares what those evenings are really like, alongside useful advice for choosing a car and planning your arrival.

Arundel, Bognor Regis and Burgess Hill are particularly enthusiastic prom areas in our experience. Around Arundel, students travel from the town itself and nearby communities such as Barnham, Fontwell, Walberton, Yapton and Angmering. Some want the quiet elegance of a Rolls-Royce; others want the excitement of a performance car or a limousine shared with friends. Either way, the most enjoyable bookings are the ones planned around the students, their families and the venue's arrangements.

Arundel prom car hire prices

We offer chauffeur-driven one-hour prom hire for a local collection, photographs and venue arrival, as well as return hire up to five hours when an agreed collection after the event is required. The right option depends on your collection address, the venue and the evening's timings.

The guide uses our published Ashford prom tariff for Arundel, as agreed. Prices are for the listed hire options and remain subject to vehicle availability, the confirmed journey and any special itinerary requirements.

Two Arundel-area prom venues we know from experience

Fontwell Park Racecourse and Avisford Park Hotel both provide a proper sense of occasion, but they have very different personalities. Our advice comes from taking students to these venues, not simply reading a venue description.

Fontwell Park Racecourse – the red-carpet welcome

Fontwell Park Racecourse, Fontwell, Arundel BN18 0SY. We've been bringing students here for over ten years, and it remains one of our favourite local prom destinations. Racecourses are wonderful settings for larger celebrations: there is a feeling of space and occasion, and Fontwell knows how to make students feel special.

The moment we remember most is the arrival. At the proms we've attended, a red carpet stretches from the student drop-off area towards the entrance. Friends, relatives and spectators line both sides. As students step out of their cars and begin walking, they are met with cheering, applause and cameras. The welcome makes each arrival feel like a little event in its own right.

Whether it's two friends stepping out of a Rolls-Royce, a group emerging from a Baby Bentley or sixteen friends arriving together in the Hummer, the vehicle creates the anticipation – and the red-carpet walk completes it. It's a genuine highlight of prom season for us.

Our practical advice: take the unhurried family and group photographs at home, before setting off. On arrival, follow the school's designated vehicle approach and drop-off instructions. Fontwell can have many cars arriving close together, so allow a sensible margin rather than planning to reach the venue at the very last minute. Don't assume you can stop for an extended photoshoot in the drop-off area.

Different events can have different timings. For example, at a previous Angmering School prom at Fontwell, parents and spectators were given an earlier arrival time than students. That's why we always work from the school's instructions for the particular evening, rather than assuming last year's schedule still applies.

Avisford Park Hotel – a lovely approach and an elegant entrance

Avisford Park Hotel, Yapton Lane, Walberton, Arundel BN18 0LS.

Avisford Park is another venue we know well from regularly bringing students here for their proms. It offers a very different experience from the excitement of the racecourse.

One of its pleasures is the approach road. As the car makes its way towards the hotel, the building and grounds help create that feeling that this is a special evening. It suits a classic Rolls-Royce beautifully, but a group limousine arrival is just as enjoyable in its own way.

At the events we've attended, students have stepped out to a red-carpet greeting, then walked towards the reception area to collect a welcome drink before joining the celebrations. It feels polished and celebratory without losing the excitement of prom night. The attractive hotel setting also provides a lovely backdrop for formal clothes and photographs.

Our practical advice: organise your main car photographs before departure, especially if several friends are sharing the vehicle. At the hotel, let the chauffeur follow the arrival instructions provided for that event so everyone can step out safely and enjoy the welcome. If a group is meeting at one house, agree who will be ready and when – the whole journey feels more relaxed when there is no last-minute dash.

Local schools and the prom tradition

The Angmering School has held a Year 11 prom at Fontwell Park, and St Philip Howard Catholic School in Barnham has celebrated Year 11 proms, including a historical event at Avisford Park. These are useful examples of the area's strong prom tradition, rather than a claim that either school uses the same venue every year.

Schools generally confirm their own dates, venues, student arrival windows and arrangements for parents. It's worth passing that information to us as soon as you have it. We can then plan the collection and journey around the actual event rather than guessing how long the entrance queue might take.

At prom events we've attended at both venues, schools have arranged photographs of the celebrations. If you'd like to purchase or access official pictures, check the school's communications; our chauffeur service is separate from any school photography arrangements.

Choosing the right prom arrival

For a classic entrance, a Rolls-Royce Phantom or Ghost offers space, elegance and a wonderful moment as the chauffeur opens the door. A Lamborghini Urus, Nissan GTR or Toyota Supra brings a very different kind of excitement for students who love performance cars. For friends who want to enjoy the journey together, our stretch limousines and Mercedes V-Class provide group options. The best choice depends on your passengers, outfits, collection plans and budget — not simply which car looks most impressive in a photograph.

Make the collection part of the celebration

In our experience, prom often starts at home rather than at the venue. Friends gather in their outfits, parents and grandparents take photographs, and everyone waits to see the car arrive. Those moments deserve time. Where it is safe to stop, we can position the vehicle for photographs before departure.

For groups, meeting at one family home is usually the simplest arrangement. Multiple collections can be considered, but each extra stop uses part of the hire period and can make the journey feel rushed. If students live across Arundel, Barnham and Angmering, we can discuss a practical meeting point instead.

Planning around prom dresses, summer weather and passenger comfort

Formal dresses can have long skirts, delicate fabrics or fitted shapes, and sports cars are not always the easiest vehicles to enter. A Rolls-Royce or limousine may offer a more comfortable option depending on the outfit. Our chauffeurs are used to helping passengers in and out carefully.

Summer prom evenings can also be warm. We prepare and check our vehicles before bookings, and comfort matters just as much as the photographs. Keep drinks sensible before the arrival, protect delicate clothes from spills and allow time for everyone to settle in before setting off.

Every passenger must have an appropriate seat and use the available restraints. The permitted capacity is a firm limit, even if one more friend wants to join at the last minute.

One-way arrival or a return collection?

For a nearby prom at Fontwell or Avisford Park, a one-hour booking may be enough for a single collection, photographs and a comfortable journey to the venue. The key is to agree an itinerary that fits the time, not to promise a long scenic drive and then rush the final approach.

Parents who want the journey home organised can choose a return booking, with the collection location and time confirmed in advance. Some families prefer to collect students themselves. Both approaches work; what matters is deciding before the event, especially when the venue has a busy departure period.

Year 6 leavers and Year 11 prom celebrations

Not every celebration follows the same format. Year 6 leavers' events may be held in the afternoon and can be more informal, while Year 11 proms are often evening occasions with formal outfits, red-carpet entrances and a later finish. We can discuss suitable vehicles and arrangements with parents or guardians for either type of event.

Why book with Hire a Rolls Royce?

We're a specialist luxury car hire company with more than fifteen years of experience. Our vehicles are owned and maintained by us, and customers can arrange to view available cars before booking. We put considerable care into presentation, planning and reliability, because a prom date is not an occasion you can simply rearrange.

Our local experience matters too. We don't just know where Fontwell Park and Avisford Park are on a map: we've watched the red-carpet welcomes, seen the crowds and shared in the excitement of students arriving year after year. We bring that experience to the advice we give families about collection points, photographs and sensible arrival times.
