Rolls-Royce & Luxury Wedding Car Hire Price Guide for Croydon
Fixed Croydon wedding car prices • Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, Dawn & Silver Cloud • Genuine local wedding experience • More than 15 years in wedding transport
Croydon is home territory for us, and after providing cars for thousands of weddings we know that two weddings only a few miles apart can require completely different transport.
One bride may simply need a Rolls-Royce from home to an all-in-one wedding venue such as Oaks Farm or Addington Palace.
Another wedding may begin at a Croydon hotel, continue to a church and finish at Grand Sapphire or Imperial House. A Croydon Town Hall ceremony brings its own waiting and photography considerations, while an Indian wedding can involve six, eight or ten hours of hire and traditions such as the Bidaai.
That is why we don't base our advice simply on the distance between two postcodes.
We look at how the car will actually be used throughout your wedding day.
Below are our Croydon wedding car prices together with the local advice and experience we think couples should know before booking.
Croydon Wedding Car Hire Prices
These are our standard Croydon wedding prices for the hire periods shown.
If your collection is significantly outside the local area, your wedding involves additional journeys or your itinerary requires something unusual, send us the complete plan and we will quote accordingly.

One-Way Wedding Hire – From £395
One-way wedding hire does not mean a rushed point-to-point transfer.
If your ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue, there may simply be no reason to pay for a chauffeur to wait for three hours.
We allow sensible time for the bride to leave, photographs before departure where required, the journey itself, a relaxed arrival and photographs with the wedding car.
Oaks Farm and Addington Palace are good Croydon examples.
When everything is taking place at one venue, the main requirement may simply be to collect the bride and get her there beautifully, calmly and on time.
If a £395 one-way booking genuinely covers what your wedding needs, we would rather recommend that than sell you several hours of waiting which add nothing to the day.
The Classic Croydon Church Wedding – Why Three Hours Often Works
A very familiar Croydon wedding for us begins at home or at a local hotel.
We collect the bride, take her to church, wait through the ceremony and then take the newly married couple on to their reception.
The Hilton and Aerodrome hotels around Purley Way are popular starting points, particularly when the eventual reception is around Imperial Way at Grand Sapphire or Imperial House.
Churches we regularly encounter include St Mary's in central Croydon and Our Lady of the Annunciation in Addiscombe.
Both have dedicated parking which can be particularly useful for the wedding cars.
There is still one simple piece of advice we give couples: Speak to the church beforehand and ask for the wedding-car space to be kept clear.
Guests understandably arrive early and sometimes park in exactly the space intended for the bridal car.
It is much easier to deal with this before the wedding than when a Rolls-Royce carrying the bride arrives outside the church.
At other Croydon churches we may need to position the car on the road outside or find somewhere nearby to wait.
Every church is slightly different, which is why knowing the actual ceremony venue matters when we plan the journey.
Plan the Church, Photographs and Reception as One Journey
This is one of the most useful pieces of advice we can give after doing thousands of weddings.
If you want photographs somewhere between the ceremony and reception, look at the whole journey before choosing the photography location.
The prettiest park is not necessarily the right park for your wedding.
We have seen nightmare situations where this hasn't been thought through.
The couple leaves the ceremony and spends close to an hour travelling to a park. They then have an hour of photographs, followed by another long journey to the reception.
By the time everybody gets there, what should have been an enjoyable part of the wedding has become tiring.
Where possible, we recommend choosing a church reasonably close to the reception and, if you want a separate photography stop, choosing somewhere nearby or naturally on the route to the reception.
If you are unsure, ask us.
Having provided transport for thousands of weddings, we are happy to look at the ceremony, photography location and reception together and tell you whether the plan makes practical sense.
Sometimes our advice means allowing more hire time.
Just as importantly, sometimes our advice is that the extra journey simply isn't worth adding to an already busy wedding day.
Croydon Town Hall Wedding Car Hire
Croydon Town Hall is a perfect example of the difference between knowing an address and knowing how wedding transport actually works there.
Dropping the bride off is the easy part
We can bring the bride or groom directly to the Town Hall on Katharine Street and set them down outside.
The important thing is to be organised when the car arrives.
This is a set-down rather than somewhere we can simply leave a wedding car waiting throughout the ceremony, so it helps if the bride and family are ready to leave the car without unnecessary delay.
Waiting afterwards is the difficult part
There is no allocated wedding-car waiting space immediately outside.
If you have booked us through to the reception, the chauffeur will normally move the car away, wait somewhere suitable nearby and return when required after the ceremony.
That sounds like a small detail, but it matters when planning timings.
A Rolls-Royce is also considerably easier to manage here than a stretched limousine.
We have taken limousines to Croydon Town Hall, so it can certainly be done. However, the additional length makes positioning, waiting and returning for the couple less straightforward.
If you are choosing between a Phantom or Ghost and a 16-seat Hummer simply for the Town Hall arrival, this is worth considering.
Wedding Photographs After Croydon Town Hall
Croydon Town Hall is an impressive listed building, but it doesn't have substantial wedding gardens of its own.
The most convenient outdoor option is Queen's Gardens directly opposite.
It gives couples greenery and a pleasant setting for photographs without turning the photography into another journey.
It isn't a large country estate and we wouldn't pretend that it is, but when convenience matters it works well.
Some couples want a more scenic setting and choose to travel towards Coombe for their photographs.
That can give you a very different backdrop, but it needs to be planned into the wedding-car booking.
If we take you from Croydon Town Hall to Coombe, wait while you have photographs and then continue to the reception, that is a completely different transport requirement from simply taking you from the Town Hall to the reception.
This is exactly why we ask about photographs before recommending how many hours to book.
Addington Palace Wedding Car Hire
Addington Palace is one of the Croydon venues where couples can easily book more wedding-car time than they actually need.
It is a magnificent setting and weddings can take place within the Palace itself, with the Great Hall, Winter Garden and outdoor areas allowing the ceremony and reception to remain on site.
From our experience, the wedding car can drive straight up to the Palace entrance.
There is ample room around the arrival, and the Palace and surrounding greenery make a beautiful backdrop for photographs with the car.
There is one small practical detail brides should know: there is gravel immediately outside.
It suits the setting perfectly, but it is worth remembering if you are wearing delicate heels.
Because so much of the wedding can take place on site, many Addington Palace bookings only require the initial bridal journey.
There is no point automatically paying for three hours simply because it is a wedding.
Indian Weddings at Addington Palace
Addington Palace works particularly well for Indian weddings because the various parts of the celebration can take place on site.
We have had arrivals where the wedding car comes up towards the Palace, family members get out and the arrival turns into a celebration, with relatives dancing their way towards the entrance.
There is enough space for that arrival to become part of the occasion rather than everybody simply getting out of the car beside a busy road.
There is, however, an important reason the Rolls-Royce may still be required later in the day.
The Bidaai
Depending on how the family is arranging the wedding, we can be asked to take the newly married couple away from Addington Palace in the Rolls-Royce as part of the traditional Bidaai and then return them to the venue afterwards.
In practical transport terms, this can become a ceremonial or “fake exit”.
The departure happens as part of the wedding tradition, but the couple then returns because the rest of the celebration remains at Addington Palace.
If you want the wedding car for the Bidaai, tell us when enquiring.
A Rolls-Royce required only for the bride's arrival and a Rolls-Royce that needs to remain available for a later Bidaai are two very different bookings.
Grand Sapphire Wedding Car Hire
Grand Sapphire is probably one of the best Croydon examples of why we don't recommend wedding-car hours simply from the name of the venue.
It is genuinely multi-faith and multicultural, and we have provided transport there for many completely different types of wedding.
We see Asian weddings using around six hours of car hire, longer Indian weddings where the Rolls-Royce can be committed for ten hours, large Afro-Caribbean celebrations and Somali weddings which can continue until very late at night.
The transport requirement for each can be completely different.
Know Which Grand Sapphire Entrance You Need
This is a small detail that can make a surprisingly big difference on a busy wedding day.
There can be multiple weddings and events taking place at Grand Sapphire.
Make sure you know which entrance belongs to your wedding.
We work closely with Grand Sapphire and know the event staff well, so if there is uncertainty we can help with the arrival.
When several events are taking place, parking and manoeuvring space can become tighter.
A Rolls-Royce is generally easier to position around the appropriate entrance.
A long Hummer or Baby Bentley limousine is different. Depending on how busy the venue is, it may not always be practical to take a stretched vehicle immediately to the door and passengers can occasionally need to get out slightly further away.
Once inside, the setting is very different from the practical arrival outside. Grand Sapphire's large suites and impressive chandeliers create the dramatic banqueting setting many couples choose the venue for.
Three Hours at Grand Sapphire Doesn't Mean the Wedding Ends After Three Hours
This is an important distinction.
For many church weddings, Grand Sapphire is the final destination for the wedding car.
A typical journey might be: Hotel or home → church → chauffeur waits → Grand Sapphire.
We may complete everything required of the Rolls-Royce within three or four hours.
The wedding itself can continue until midnight or beyond.
There is little benefit in paying to have a Rolls-Royce sitting outside the reception for another six or seven hours if you have no further use for it.
Other weddings work completely differently.
We have provided transport for Somali weddings at Grand Sapphire which have continued until around 2am, where the happy couple wanted a chauffeur-driven car only at the very end of the celebration to take them home or back to their hotel.
That is why “How much is a wedding car to Grand Sapphire?” isn't really enough information.
Tell us what you actually need the car to do and we can recommend the appropriate hire.
Imperial House Wedding Car Hire
Imperial House on Imperial Way is another Croydon venue we know from actually taking wedding cars there.
In our experience, it is very often the final reception destination, with the ceremony taking place somewhere else first.
For a straightforward church or civil wedding, three to four hours can work extremely well: Bridal collection → ceremony → chauffeur waits → Imperial House.
If you want a proper photography stop between the ceremony and reception, we are much more likely to recommend allowing additional time.
We also know the arrival itself.
A Rolls-Royce can normally be brought right outside the entrance.
A long limousine needs a different approach because of its length and turning circle. Depending on what is happening outside, it may need to reverse towards the venue or stop a little further away.
Security can often assist, but available space changes according to what else is happening at the venue.
Those are not details you get from a venue brochure. They come from actually taking wedding cars there.
Asian & Indian Wedding Car Hire in Croydon
Croydon has many Asian and Indian weddings, and trying to fit every one into a conventional three-hour wedding package makes very little sense.
A longer ceremony, chauffeur waiting, outfit changes, photography, a Bidaai or an onward and return journey can mean the Rolls-Royce remains part of the wedding for considerably longer.
That is why our Croydon wedding packages extend to 6, 8 and 10 hours, with the full fixed prices shown in the table above.
But we don't automatically recommend ten hours simply because you are having an Indian wedding.
Tell us what is actually happening.
An all-on-site Addington Palace wedding may require surprisingly little driving.
Another wedding involving home, a temple or church, photographs, reception and a later departure may genuinely keep the chauffeur and car committed for most of the day.
The itinerary should determine the package – not the label attached to the wedding.
Large Croydon Weddings and Multiple Cars
Many Croydon weddings need more than one vehicle.
The bride may travel in a Rolls-Royce Phantom or Ghost while bridesmaids, siblings or close family travel in our Gen 2 Baby Bentley / Chrysler limousine for up to eight passengers or our white Hummer H2 for up to sixteen passengers.
The important part isn't simply supplying several cars. It is coordinating them.
We work backwards from the ceremony time, decide who needs to leave first, where each car needs to wait and in what order the vehicles should approach the ceremony and reception.
Three beautiful wedding cars arriving at the wrong time is not well-planned wedding transport.
Not Sure Which Rolls-Royce to Choose?
We have a separate wedding car guide looking at our different Rolls-Royce wedding cars in more detail, so there is little point repeating all of that here.
For a Croydon wedding, we would rather look at the practical things that actually affect your choice of car – your venue, the bride's dress, passenger requirements, access, photography plans and the type of arrival you want.
A car that works beautifully for an arrival at Addington Palace may not necessarily be the most practical choice for a completely different wedding involving Croydon Town Hall, a church, a photography stop and a busy reception venue.
If you are unsure between the Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, Dawn or Silver Cloud, tell us about the wedding and we will help you narrow down the most suitable choices.
And if you are still undecided, come and see the cars.
See the Actual Wedding Car Before You Book
Whatever wedding-car company you choose, we strongly recommend asking to see current photographs of the actual vehicle being offered.
If possible, view the car in person.
We welcome viewings by arrangement because seeing a wedding car in person tells you things photographs cannot always show properly – its actual condition, size, interior space, ease of getting in and out and simply how the car feels when you are standing beside it.
For a bride wearing a larger wedding dress, being able to see the rear space and doors for yourself can be particularly useful.
A viewing also gives you the opportunity to meet us and talk through the wedding itself.
You can explain where you are getting ready, where the ceremony is taking place, whether you want to stop for photographs and where the reception is. Very often we can spot a timing or transport consideration during that conversation which a couple had not thought about.
We can also provide current photographs of our actual cars if visiting beforehand isn't practical.
After spending months or sometimes years planning your wedding, the car that arrives on the morning shouldn't be a surprise.
Let Us Help You Plan the Wedding Transport
Send us the whole plan: your collection address, ceremony venue and time, approximate ceremony length, photography plans, reception venue, passenger numbers and any cultural or family requirements that affect the car.
Don't worry if you haven't worked out the transport timings yourself.
That is part of what we're here for.
After more than 15 years and thousands of weddings, we are very happy to look at the day and tell you what makes sense.
Sometimes that means recommending additional time because the itinerary genuinely needs it.
Sometimes it means telling you that you don't need the extra hours.
The aim isn't to sell the longest package.
It is to have the right car, in the right place, at the right time, with enough breathing room for you to enjoy your wedding day.
Croydon Wedding Car Hire FAQs
How much is a Rolls-Royce wedding car in Croydon?
Our one-way Croydon wedding price for a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost or Silver Cloud is £395. Our normal 3-hour Church & Civil Wedding package is £550.
How much is a Rolls-Royce for an Asian or Indian wedding in Croydon?
For the Phantom, Ghost or Silver Cloud, our longer Croydon wedding prices are £595 for six hours, £650 for eight hours and £800 for ten hours. For the Dawn or Cullinan, they are £795 for six hours, £1,000 for eight hours and £1,300 for ten hours. We recommend sending us your complete itinerary rather than automatically choosing the longest package.
Is one-way wedding car hire enough?
Quite often, yes. If your ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue, one relaxed bridal journey may be all you genuinely need. Oaks Farm and Addington Palace are good Croydon examples.
What is included in one-way wedding hire?
One-way wedding hire is still treated as a wedding booking rather than a rushed taxi-style transfer. We allow sensible time for leaving, photographs where appropriate, the journey, a relaxed arrival and photographs with the car.
How much is an 8-seat wedding limousine in Croydon?
Our Gen 2 Baby Bentley / Chrysler 8-seat limousine is £295 one way, £450 for 3 hours, £495 for 6 hours, £595 for 8 hours and £695 for 10 hours.
How much is the 16-seat Hummer for a Croydon wedding?
Our white Hummer H2 16-seat limousine is £450 one way, £550 for 3 hours, £595 for 6 hours, £650 for 8 hours and £800 for 10 hours.
Can the wedding car wait outside the church during our ceremony?
Yes. Waiting through the ceremony forms part of our Church & Civil and longer wedding packages where required. At some Croydon churches there is dedicated parking. At others, the chauffeur may need to position the car on the road or wait nearby.
Should we reserve a parking space for the wedding car at church?
Where the church has its own parking, we recommend speaking to them beforehand and asking for an appropriate space to be kept clear. Guests often arrive before the bride and can otherwise occupy the most convenient spaces.
Can a Rolls-Royce drop us directly outside Croydon Town Hall?
Yes. We can set the bride or groom down directly outside on Katharine Street. The bigger issue is waiting afterwards because there is no dedicated wedding-car waiting space immediately outside. If we are continuing with you after the ceremony, the chauffeur normally moves away and returns when required.
Can you take a limousine to Croydon Town Hall?
Yes – we have done it. However, a stretched limousine is less straightforward than a Rolls-Royce because of its length and the limited opportunity to remain immediately outside.
Where can we take wedding photographs after Croydon Town Hall?
Queen's Gardens directly opposite is the easiest option if you want outdoor photographs without adding another substantial journey. Some couples choose to travel towards Coombe for a more scenic setting. If you want a separate photography stop, tell us before booking because it can significantly change the amount of hire time required.
Can you help us choose a photography location?
Yes. We would much rather help you plan this beforehand than see you spend a large part of your wedding day travelling backwards and forwards. Ideally, choose somewhere close to the ceremony or naturally on the route to the reception.
Do you provide wedding cars for Addington Palace?
Yes. Addington Palace is a venue we know well. The wedding car can drive straight up towards the Palace, there is plenty of room around the arrival and the grounds work beautifully for photographs.
Do we need three hours for an Addington Palace wedding?
Not necessarily. Because the ceremony and reception can both take place at Addington Palace, many couples only require the initial bridal journey. If you want the car to remain for photographs or a later Bidaai, tell us and we can recommend the appropriate hire time.
Can the Rolls-Royce be used for a Bidaai at Addington Palace?
Yes. We have had Indian weddings where the couple makes the traditional departure in the wedding car and is then brought back to the Palace because the celebration continues there. We simply need to know beforehand that the car will be required later in the day.
Do you provide wedding cars for Grand Sapphire?
Yes. We work closely with Grand Sapphire and know the event staff well. Because several celebrations can sometimes be taking place, knowing your correct suite and entrance is important.
Can a Hummer or stretch limousine get directly to the Grand Sapphire entrance?
It depends on how busy the venue is. When several events are taking place and manoeuvring space is limited, a long limousine can have more difficulty getting immediately to the door than a Rolls-Royce and passengers may occasionally need to get out slightly further away.
How many hours do I need for a Grand Sapphire wedding?
There isn't one answer. A church wedding finishing at Grand Sapphire may only need three or four hours of wedding-car hire even though the reception continues until midnight. Asian weddings can require around six hours, while some longer Indian wedding itineraries can require eight or ten hours. We have also provided late-night collections after Somali weddings where the couple only wanted the car at the end of the celebration.
Do you provide cars for Afro-Caribbean weddings in Croydon?
Yes. We have extensive experience with large Afro-Caribbean weddings in Croydon, including receptions at venues such as Grand Sapphire and Imperial House.
Do you provide cars for Somali weddings in Croydon?
Yes. We have worked Somali celebrations at Grand Sapphire continuing until around 2am where the couple wanted the chauffeur-driven car at the end of the wedding for their journey home or to a hotel.
Do you provide wedding cars for Imperial House?
Yes. Imperial House is another venue we know well from providing wedding transport there. It is commonly the final reception destination after a ceremony elsewhere, which means a three or four-hour booking can often work very well.
Do you provide female chauffeurs?
A female chauffeur can be requested where genuinely available. If this is important for religious, cultural or personal reasons, mention it when enquiring so we can check availability for your date.
Can we see the actual wedding car before booking?
Yes. We can provide current photographs of our actual vehicles and viewings are welcome by arrangement.
Can you provide several cars for one wedding?
Yes. We can coordinate a principal Rolls-Royce with larger-capacity vehicles for bridesmaids, family and other members of the wedding party. The important part is planning the vehicles together so everybody arrives in the correct order and at the right time.
How far in advance should we book our Croydon wedding car?
Popular wedding dates can book well ahead, particularly Saturdays during the main wedding season. If you have a particular Rolls-Royce or colour in mind, we recommend securing it once your ceremony and main timings are confirmed rather than waiting until the final stages of wedding planning.
Can you help us work out how many hours we actually need?
Absolutely. This is one of the most useful things we can do for you. Send us the collection point, ceremony, photography plans and reception and we will look at the day as a complete journey. Having provided transport for thousands of weddings, we can usually identify very quickly where additional time is sensible – and where it isn't.
