For longer Asian and Indian weddings, our 6-hour wait-and-return, 8-hour and 10-hour packages keep the vehicle and chauffeur committed to the wedding for the appropriate part of the day.

If your church or civil wedding needs a little longer than three hours because of Greenwich Park photographs, central Greenwich traffic or a longer onward journey, ask us for a tailored quote. You do not automatically need to move to an Asian or Indian wedding package.

Wedding Car Hire at InterContinental London – The O2

InterContinental London – The O2 deserves a special mention because it is on a completely different scale to most Greenwich wedding venues. It is particularly well suited to larger weddings and celebrations, with major ballroom and event spaces, hotel accommodation and the Greenwich Peninsula setting all in one place.

For larger Asian and Indian weddings especially, this is the sort of venue where we may be arranging more than one vehicle rather than simply dropping off a bride in a single Rolls-Royce. The hotel's Arora Ballroom can accommodate around 3,000 guests, while the Peninsula Ballroom accommodates around 1,700, so large guest numbers, family transport and several wedding vehicles are entirely realistic here.

From our side, one of the big advantages is the arrival. There is considerably more space to work with than at many central Greenwich hotels and historic venues, which makes it much easier to create a proper entrance with a Rolls-Royce and, where required, line up additional wedding vehicles for the bridal party and family. The hotel has controlled-access on-site parking and a drop-off point adjacent to the entrance, so vehicles can be handled in a much more organised way.

That can make a real difference if you are using a Phantom or Ghost alongside an 8-seater Baby Bentley limousine or 16-seater Hummer. Rather than several vehicles fighting for space at a tight entrance, the arrival can be planned as part of the wedding itself.

The Greenwich Peninsula location also gives you an exceptional backdrop. The O2, the River Thames and views towards Canary Wharf can all give wedding photographs a modern London feel that is completely different from the historic Greenwich look of Queen's House or the Old Royal Naval College. If your ceremony and reception are both at the InterContinental, a relaxed one-way arrival may still be enough if all you want is the entrance and photographs. For larger weddings involving separate bride and groom collections, family transport, longer ceremonies or an onward or return journey, our 6, 8 and 10-hour options can be much more appropriate. We would always rather look at your actual wedding timetable before recommending the amount of hire.

Wedding Car Hire at DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich

The DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich on Catherine Grove is one of the Greenwich hotels where the wedding can work very differently depending on whether you are holding the celebration there or simply using the hotel as the starting point for the bridal journey.

The hotel has dedicated event space, including its O4 room for receptions and special events, as well as 150 bedrooms. For couples with guests travelling into London, having accommodation and the celebration in one place can simplify the day considerably.

If the bride is getting ready at the DoubleTree and marrying elsewhere, the important part for us is allowing enough time to leave the hotel calmly, take photographs with the Rolls-Royce and then deal with Greenwich traffic without turning the journey into a race to the ceremony.

If your ceremony and reception are both at the hotel, a relaxed one-way Rolls-Royce arrival may be all you need. If we are taking you from the hotel to a church or civil ceremony and then on to a separate reception, keeping the car for three hours usually makes much more sense.

Wedding Car Hire at Novotel London Greenwich

The Novotel sits directly on Greenwich High Road, close to Greenwich station, and is another hotel that can work either as the wedding venue itself or as a very convenient base for the bridal party and visiting guests.

The hotel hosts weddings and celebrations and has flexible event rooms, with event capacity extending to around 175 people. From a wedding-car point of view, however, its High Road position is more important than the room specifications: this is a busy part of Greenwich and the collection or arrival needs to be timed realistically.

If you are getting ready at the Novotel before travelling to a church, Queen's House, the Old Royal Naval College or another Greenwich venue, tell us the ceremony time rather than simply asking for a pickup at the last possible minute. A short journey on a map does not always mean a five-minute wedding journey in Greenwich.

For a hotel-based celebration where you are staying at the Novotel after the ceremony, the Rolls-Royce can also be retained through the ceremony and bring you back for the reception, giving you time for photographs on the way if that forms part of the plan.

The Former DoubleTree Docklands Riverside – Now a&o London Docklands Riverside

There is another hotel that causes understandable confusion because it also used to carry the DoubleTree by Hilton name. The former DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside, at Rotherhithe on the opposite stretch of the Thames, is now a&o London Docklands Riverside.

It is not actually in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, but it has long been relevant to weddings moving between Greenwich, the Docklands, Canary Wharf and South East London. Under the Hilton name it was used for weddings, private parties and larger events, with riverside terraces, event rooms and views towards Canary Wharf.

The building's riverside character remains, but the hotel changed operator and identity, so couples should check the current event and wedding arrangements directly with a&o rather than relying on older Hilton wedding information online.

For us, the practical point is making sure we know which hotel you mean. DoubleTree Greenwich on Catherine Grove and the former DoubleTree Docklands Riverside are two completely different properties on different sides of this part of London. Giving us the full venue name and postcode avoids any confusion on the wedding day.

Weddings at Queen's House & Royal Museums Greenwich

Few Greenwich wedding settings suit a Rolls-Royce arrival as naturally as Queen's House. The symmetry of the historic building, Greenwich Park immediately behind it and the London skyline beyond give couples the sort of setting where the wedding car can become part of the photographs rather than disappearing as soon as the bride steps out.

Queen's House hosts both intimate and larger weddings, including ceremonies in the Great Hall and smaller celebrations in the Orangery and South Parlours. Tudor Barn is one of the Greenwich venues we know particularly well from weddings. The historic barn sits within extensive parkland and gardens, surrounded by mature foliage and a moat, and those surroundings are a major part of why couples choose it.

The grounds are excellent for wedding photographs, so this is one venue where allowing sensible time with the Rolls-Royce can genuinely add something to the day. A Phantom, Ghost or Silver Cloud works particularly well against the greenery and Tudor setting.

There is also an important practical point from bringing vehicles here. The entrance can be tight for stretched limousines. For our Hummer and other long limos, using the main-road side as the drop-off point is generally more sensible than trying to manoeuvre a stretched vehicle through a confined entrance.

Charlton House, Trafalgar Tavern & Greenwich's Other Wedding Venues

Charlton House is a genuine wedding venue set within parkland, with historic rooms and restored gardens that give couples attractive opportunities for photographs. For a traditional Rolls-Royce arrival, it is one of the borough's settings where the building and car can work particularly well together.

Closer to the river, Trafalgar Tavern offers a very different wedding atmosphere. Its historic rooms overlook the Thames and it is licensed for ceremonies and receptions, making it particularly suited to couples who want the maritime side of Greenwich to form part of the day.

Greenwich Park is frequently part of the photography plan for couples around Blackheath and Greenwich. If you are arranging professional wedding photography in the Royal Park, make sure the appropriate permission is organised and tell us about the stop before the wedding so enough time is allowed.
